Smart Nora Review

Smart Nora is a startup with an innovative product designed to stop people from snoring and waking up their partners.

I’ve been using my Smart Nora now for a couple weeks, and I have to say, it’s well designed and seems to work. I’ve felt more rested and haven’t heard any complaints from my partner.

The first thing that delighted me was the ease of setup. It’s literally braindead simple. I took it out of the box and in 5 minutes had it working. To me, that’s a must because I hate reading instructions.

Altair Wireless Charging Stand by Bezalel

Just got an Altair Wireless Charging Stand from Bezalel, and it’s transformative. No more fumbling with cables. Now it’s effortless to charge your phone. I can’t tell you what a psychological difference this makes. And it’s so inexpensive.

The best part is the design. Very sleek and beautiful.

Before you rush out and buy one, make sure you have a Qi‑enabled smartphone. This includes the iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, Samsung, Pixel 3, and many other phones.

Expandrive is a Network Drive for the Cloud

Expandrive is pretty amazing. It’s so simple but so powerful. It creates a virtual drive for Mac and Windows that connects to all major cloud storage providers.

You mount the drive on your desktop, and from there you can drag and drop files to any of your cloud providers. You can also browse and access all files with ease.

Expandrive supports Dropbox, Google Drive, Google Team Drive, Amazon Drive, Box, OneDrive, Openstack Swift, BackBlaze B2, Amazon S3 or your own SFTP, FTP or WebDAV server and SMB/Windows File Sharing. Pretty much everything out there.

ScreenFlow 7

ScreenFlow is simply the best screen recording software for Mac. It’s also a fantastic video editing suite. We’ve been using it for years, and it just keeps getting better and better.

The thing we love about ScreenFlow is that it’s so simple to use. It’s much easier and more intuitive than Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

Version 7 just came out, and here are some of the amazing new features:

Awair by Bitfinder

Awair from Bitfinder is a beautiful product. It came out of R/GA, a renowned New York design firm, for whom I worked long ago.

Awair is meant to test the air quality in your home or office. Unlike many IoT devices, this one looks hip — not geeky. And it’s beauty isn’t just skin deep. That’s why Bitfinder is being featured as our product of the month.

Review: CrazyTalk Animator 2 Pipeline is a Dream

If you’re making a video for your startup, you need to check out CrazyTalk Animator 2 Pipeline. It’s truly awesome! You don’t need to hire a professional animator to get professional quality animations. Anyone with some talent and a good artistic eye can create an animated video in a few hours.

Animator 2 Pipeline is available on both Windows and the Mac. We reviewed the Windows version a while back and loved it. The Mac version is equally as good, and for us, it’s a dream come true. We are Mac people, so having the Mac version made all the difference.

Review: ScreenFlow 5 is a Powerful Tool for Startups

Okay, so you’re a startup and you’re launching a new website or app. How do you communicate this to users, journalists and investors? ScreenFlow makes it easy by allowing you to create screencasts, including tutorial videos, training videos, how-to lessons, marketing videos, and product demos.

With ScreenFlow you can record the contents of your entire monitor while also capturing your video camera, microphone and your computer audio. The easy-to-use editing interface lets you creatively edit your video, and add additional images, text, music and transitions for a truly professional-looking video.
