Roger Royse is the founder of Royse Law Firm, PC, a business and tax law firm with offices in Northern and Southern California (www.rroyselaw.com). Roger practices in the areas of corporate and securities law, domestic and international tax, mergers and acquisitions, and fund formation. His clients include emerging and middle-market companies and high net worth individuals. Practicing since 1984, Roger’s background includes work with prominent San Francisco Bay area law firms as well as Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy in New York City. Roger has also served as an adjunct professor at the Golden Gate University Masters of Tax program. He is a frequent speaker, writer and blogger for bar associations, CPA organizations, and business groups.
Alan Watters, CPA, of Krohn & Company, is responsible for planning and implementing successful tax strategies for individuals and businesses. By nature of developing his practice in San Francisco, Alan has focused much of his attention on the taxation of real estate and high-tech startups. His practice also includes partnerships, LLCs & S Corporations, individuals and families. Alan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He also serves on the Membership Committee of Pacific Horizons BNI, and is on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Boys Chorus. He has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Texas, and Graduate Studies in Taxation at Golden Gate University. Thomas A. Maier’s practice emphasizes tax planning and general business matters for start-up to mid-sized businesses, particularly tech enterprises and service organizations. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with growth companies and investors to structure favorable equity and debt financing transactions and sound employee stock plans. He regularly represents U.S. and foreign companies in the planning and negotiation of international business transactions. Tom is a member of the Alameda County Bar Association, currently serving as newsletter editor and as an executive committee member of the association’s Section on Business. He also belongs to the State Bar of California, the International Fiscal Association, the San Francisco Bar Association and East Bay Tax Club. Tom is the current president of the Berkeley City Ballet and also serves on its board of directors. Tom has is B.A. from Southern Illinois University, his Law Degree from U.C. Berkeley (Boalt Hall) and his LL.M from New York University Law School.
