The Future of Brain Technology at TEDex (VIDEO)

This is a talk Steve Hoffman (a.k.a. Captain Hoff) gave in 2016 at TEDex in Shanghai on the future of brain technology.

Scientists have implanted chips in the brains of monkies that allow them to control a mechanical arm with their thoughts and grab a banana.

Scientists are using chips implanted in human brains, known as brain-machine interfaces, as the neural equivalent of a prosthetic limb, targeting damaged areas of the brain to achieve things like restoring mobility to patients who are paralyzed.

Find out where all this is headed in Hoffman’s TEDex talk!
