We’re happy to let you know abut the World Media Awards and Event.  It will take place on October 26^th at the PayPal building in San Francisco. Through a series of practical workshops hosted by some of the world’s leading publishing experts, attendees will learn how to use the latest technologies and techniques to maximize their publishing potential. The purpose of the event it to celebrate the best in blogging and media creation as well as to exchange publishing best practices.

Tickets to attend the event go on sale today for $50 and entries to the Media Awards are $45. Corona SDK’s architecture — Lua on top of OpenGL — is very similar to platforms used to develop games from companies like ngmoco and Rovio and delivers very high-performance.

Corona SDK is available on both Mac and Windows and can build applications for iOS and Android. It also includes easy integration with 3rd party services like Openfeint, Facebook Connect, Flurry and several monetization services. Developers can download Corona SDK for free and develop applications for their own devices under an unlimited trial.
