Inessa Obenhuber is an active Angel Investor and International investment capital professional. She is a Partner of Seraph Group, a growing global investment angel boutique fund. She also co-founded Kiventures, a company that assists U.S. and Russian companies with establishing operations and outsourcing of technology development of products in emerging markets.

Inessa Obenhuber has personally shepherded several promising ventures into the next phases of development, including PC Magazine in Russian language, AlwaysOnVacation, CFT and other startup companies, she invested in more than 23 of them. Noted for her technology inventions as well, Ms. Obenhuber has contributed to four U.S. patents over the course of her career.

Inessa Obenhuber maintains involvement with a wide range of philanthropic organizations, including USC Cinematic school (Ambassador for the Media Institute for Social Change), Charity: water, Amnesty International. Ms. Obenhuber earned a Bachelor of Arts from Moscow State University of Printing Arts.

It’s not uncommon for me to see Founders wearing multiple hats, particularly the sales and marketing hat. A typical situation they would tell me is that they just burned through  a 6 figure marketing budget and need help with fixing their marketing, but now have limited access to funds.

What surprises me is when they tell me they burned through their funds via a bunch of online marketing campaigns and justified the amount spent by saying they needed to stay ahead of the competition and to acquire more customers.
